Our focus for this first half term’s Assemblies has a nautical theme. We’ll begin by inviting the children aboard the ‘HMS Courage’ and have fun with nautical games and knot tying competitions as we pretend to set sail. We’ll then discuss what it means to have courage, to en-courage and dis-courage people. Our Bible verses look at Barnabas, showing how he was filled with faith and courage because of the Holy Spirit.
Meanwhile, our Year 1 Workshops introduces the chidren to exciting Bible verses about Jesus. We’ll also be singing songs together to help them remember some Bible verses about Jesus and His love. Dewy and Daphne, our puppets, will be joining us in these sessions, and we all look forward to the smiles and giggles of the children.
